Agavaceae is interesting group of plants, some of the most cold hardy genera are Agave, Yucca, Nolina, Dasylirion, Manfreda and hesperoyucca. Agave and hesperoyucca are mostly Monocarpic- meaning they only flower once. Several species of agave will flower more than once. Yucca, Nolina, Dasylirion and Manfreda are polycarpic- meaning they flower more than once.
